Dubai, December 17, 2007

Burj Al Arab, the world’s most luxurious hotel, and Madinat Jumeirah: The Arabian Resort, both part of Dubai-based luxury hospitality group Jumeirah, collected top accolades at the 14th annual World Travel Awards Gala Ceremony.

The event was held on the island of Proviciales in the Caribbean last week.

The world famous Burj Al Arab, Jumeirah’s flagship hotel, was awarded the much-coveted title of World’s Leading Hotel at the star-studded event, while the group’s Arabian resort, Madinat Jumeirah, received the prestigious title of World’s Leading Family Luxury Resort.

The global winners of the World Travel Awards were determined from a vote of over 167,000 tourism professionals and agents.

“As a young and rapidly expanding luxury hospitality company, Jumeirah is proud to have been recognised globally on so many levels at the World Travel Awards again this year. These awards highlight Jumeirah’s promise and continued commitment to Stay Different, as well as demonstrating that Dubai is truly an international leisure destination," said senior vice-president, Gulf region, Jumeirah, Marco Nijhof. – TradeArabia News Service
