Oman Air names key flight officer

Oman Air, the national carrier of Oman, has appointed Captain Ali Hassan Sulaiman to the post of deputy chief officer, Flight Operations.

Captain Sulaiman assumes the role following 30 years professional experience in civil aviation. This time includes a range of managerial positions at Oman Air and Gulf Air, as well as the position of chief operations officer at the Gulf Aviation Academy in Bahrain.

“Captain Sulaiman worked at Oman Air between 2008 and 2010, as our Senior Manager Training and Standards, where his extensive knowledge and commitment helped to boost efficiency, effectiveness and outcomes,” said Peter Hill, Oman Air’s chief executive officer.

Captain Sulaiman said: “Flight Operations lies at the heart of Oman Air’s work and I am delighted to have been appointed to this position. I am sure that the experience and expertise that I have gathered over the last three decades will prove extremely useful and I very much look forward to helping to ensure that every Oman Air customer enjoys an outstanding passenger experience.”
