British Airways launches winter promotion
Manama, January 9, 2012
British Airways has kicked off a promotion that sees special fares for travel in the airline’s World Traveller (economy) and World Traveller Plus (premium economy) cabins for travel to Europe and North America.
Fares start from BD260 ($689) for World Traveller (economy class), BD480 for World Traveller Plus (premium economy) to London Heathrow and Europe. All fares are for return flights and include taxes, fees and surcharges.
London and New York are popular destinations from the region and passengers from Bahrain can fly from Manama to New York via London Heathrow at a fare of BD425 for World Traveller and BD767 for World Traveller Plus.
To take advantage of these special fares bookings are to be made by January 31, 2012 for travel up to May 31, 2012.
"We are delighted to start of the New Year by offering our customers attractive fares for travel to London, Europe and beyond. We want to make it easy for our customers to reach our popular destinations globally and these special fares provide that incentive to book that holiday,” said Paolo De Renzis, British Airways' regional commercial manager, Middle East.
“It is a great time to fly with British Airways as in 2012 passengers will begin to see the benefits of the airlines GBP5 billion ($7.71 billion) investment in aircraft, catering, lounges and on-board products.”
“We are confident that 2012 will be an exciting time for the airline in the Middle East. With expected general passenger traffic from the region continuing to grow at an average annual rate of 7.1 per cent through to 2015, British Airways has responded to this increase in demand by adding additional frequency on the UAE route and by increasing capacity with the utilisation of larger aircraft,” De Renzis added. – TradeArabia News Service
