Abu Dhabi-based conglomerate Al Jaber Group said it has been awarded a contract to develop the Abha Airport project in Saudi Arabia.

The project, which will come up in the capital of the Asir Province in Saudi Arabia, includes a new 86,000-sq-m passenger terminal that can accommodate five million passengers annually, said a statement from Al Jaber Group.

It will also feature 20 passenger boarding bridges, an apron for planes to park and parallel corridors to accommodate 26 planes simultaneously and car-parking buildings that can accommodate 2,800 cars,

The project is expected to be completed in three years, it added.-TradeArabia News Service
