Hilton Worldwide, a global luxury hospitality group, celebrated the debut graduates of its Mudeer Al Mustaqbal (Manager of the Future Programme) in an event held at the Makkah Hilton and Towers, Saudi Arabia, in November.

The two-year course is designed to put select Saudi university graduates on the fast track to management positions in the hotel chain.

“It’s tremendously exciting to see the first intake of the programme doing so well at this celebration of our four graduates,” said Mahmoud Mokhtar, vice president of Operations, Saudi Arabia, at Hilton Worldwide. “This programme will make a difference in the lives of both Saudi men and soon Saudi women because it will put them on the track to realising their full potential.”

The first edition of Mudeer Al Mustaqbal was launched on May 1, 2014 with the aim of identifying Saudi university graduates displaying talent for the hospitality industry and providing them the necessary training to advance quickly. Those who excel in the programme and distinguish themselves will serve as assistant department managers after the first year and as department managers upon successfully completing the entire course.

The programme targets both male and female Saudi graduates to train for management positions in the Front Office, Housekeeping and Food and Beverage areas. In disclosing details of the next Mudeer Al Mustaqbal, scheduled to commence in February, Mokhtar encouraged qualified female talent to apply as the programme is open to both Saudi men and women.

As with other Hilton Worldwide team members, graduates of the Mudeer Al Mustaqbal programme have access to more than 8,000 online courses, books, documents and videos via the Hilton Worldwide University - a Hilton initiative that provides easy access to continuing education programmes. – TradeArabia News Service
