Around 40 passengers were reported hurt on a Manila-bound Qatar Airways flight from its hub in Doha during a turbulence, a report said.

The flight was shaken by a severe turbulence while it was approaching the airport, experiencing a "downdraft" about 30 minutes prior to landing at Ninoy Aquino International Airport on Saturday afternoon, a report in Al Arabiya website said citing the Philippine news station TV5.

The incident caused injuries to passengers who were not wearing seatbelts, the station said quoting  sources.
