Dubai summit to provide glimpse into future of hospitality

DUBAI, November 6, 2015

More than 150 hoteliers, decision-makers and major stakeholders within the hospitality industry will gather at a summit in Dubai, UAE this month that will provide a glimpse into the future of hospitality.

The Hotel Technology Summit will take place on November 22 and 23 at the SOfitel the Palm Resort and Spa.

The summit will aim at providing hoteliers with guidance, by introducing them to a range of options to improve guest experience through cost effective, yet innovative technology solutions.

The attendees will include chief executive officers, heads of technology, heads of sales and marketing, revenue directors, procurement directors, managing directors and general managers.

These qualified buyers will be introduced to global solution providers and project holders within hotel technology.

All delegates and attendees will be present by invitation only, and have been pre-screened by the summit organisers to verify their legitimacy and viability for the summit.

The summit is being organised in partnership with Hospitality Financial & Technology Professionals (HFTP), organisers of HITEC, the world's largest hotel technology show - and will feature contributions from distinguished industry leaders within hospitality, tourism and leisure. Over the nine years since the summit's inception, it has brought innovative solutions to the attention of hospitality heavyweights from across the world, and given them access to exclusive opportunities that are only available through this unique business platform.

The attendees will have the opportunity to learn from industry experts in interactive panel discussions and keynote speeches, build valuable business relationships with each other, and learn about the newest developments in hotel technology.

The summit will be focused around three central points of discussion: leveraging technology, enhancing guest experience, and increasing productivity.

Tech talks over the course of the two days will cover a variety of relevant and current topics, ranging from the top technologies that will drive the industry in 2016 to the rise of smart hotels, the specifics of marketing a hotel brand to Generation Y, and the use of mobile apps and services in hotels.

Hideo Sadawa, chairman of Japan's largest travel agency H.I.S., president of Huis Ten Bosch Co and owner of Henn na, the world's first robot-staffed hotel, will be addressing summit participants on the topic of the 'robot revolution.' His talk will revolve around the provocative question, "Are robots the future of hospitality?"

The speakers at the summit will also discuss the viability of hotel automation, centralising IT and embracing disruptive technologies. Talks focusing on e-procurement and technology's edge on revenue management will bring the practical uses of technology in hotel management to the forefront.

One of the interactive panel discussions at the summit will examine the topic 'Rise of the smart hotels: Catering to the GenX and upgrading to the needs of the GenY millennial travellers.'

Naveen Bharadwaj, senior producer at Naseba, said: "The Hotel Technology Summit will gather some of the hospitality industry's best and brightest in a networking environment designed to facilitate deals and business relationships. Naseba is proud to be producing yet another edition of this unique event." - TradeArabia News Service
