Land of Legends, Turkey's largest edutainment centre, will welcome its first guests in July.

The $1 billion project, which is located in Antalya, is a collaboration between Rixos World Parks & Entertainment, Dubai-based Emaar Real Estate and global cultural creativity brand Dragone Productions.

Fettah Tamince, chairman of Rixos Hotels group, said: "The entertainment, leisure and shopping facilities will gradually open over the course of the year. The grand opening of Land of legends will be next year and it is going to be unlike anything the world has seen.”   

The theme park, which combines education, entertainment, nature, adventure, retail, shopping, luxury housing and theatre, is poised to become the new family destination in the region.

Located steps away from the Mediterranean Sea, the Land of Legends covers an expansive area of 639,000 sq m and boasts a scenic backdrop of the Taurus Mountains.

The unique city within a city includes the Land of Legends theme park; a luxurious 17,000-sq-m five-star hotel; a 196,000-sq-m shopping boulevard; a 146,000-sq-m wildlife park; a 280,000-sq-m water park with 72 waterslides, a splash cinema and a water coaster; a viewing terrace reaching 111 m in height; a family entertainment centre and river tours for guests.

Land of Legends is a family-friendly destination with tailored programmes and activities for children. Activities include the Create Your Own Show, the Musical Show and the Dance Activity that will have kids showcasing their talent in filmmaking, singing and the performing arts. In addition, the theme park, adventure park and water rides comprise a multitude of adrenaline-charged rides that will ensure all guests take home a memorable vacation.
