Saudia launches direct flights to Mauritius

RIYADH, September 19, 2017

Saudi Arabian Airlines (Saudia) has launched scheduled flights between Riyadh and Jeddah to the Republic of Mauritius.

The inaugural flight took off on September 15.

Mauritius is the airline’s third new destination this year and is a scheduled year-round service. The The three-times-weekly service is operated with a Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner, flying direct between the two countries.

Following Saudia’s launch of commercial flights between the Saudi Arabia and Mauritius, Eng. Saleh bin Nasser Al-Jasser, director general of Saudi Arabian Airlines, met with the Prime Minister of the Republic of Mauritius, Pravind Jugnauth.
 
During the meeting Al-Jasser and Jugnauth discussed economic growth and future opportunities, including the increase of flight frequencies.

Saudia’s route map covers 87 destinations across four continents, flying to Africa, the Middle East, Europe and North America daily from its hubs in Jeddah and Riyadh. - TradeArabia News Service
