New marketing head for Al Habtoor City Hotel Collection

DUBAI, October 11, 2017

Al Habtoor City Hotel Collection has appointed Haitham Assem as the new multi-property director of marketing and communications for The St. Regis Dubai, W Dubai - Al Habtoor City and The Westin Dubai, Al Habtoor City.

A graduate of Law from Ain Shams University Cairo, Assem has over 15 years’ experience in the hospitality field, of which he has spent 10 years leading marketing and communications. Before joining Al Habtoor Hotel Collection, Assem was complex director of marketing for The Westin and Le Meridien Bahrain City Centre.

Assem started his career in hotel operations in his home country Egypt, where he held various roles within the front office department before moving to the UAE in 2006. He then took a plunge into marketing and communications department at Kempinski Mall of the Emirates and has evolved through the marketing discipline prior to his move to the corporate role heading Global Hotel Alliance Marketing & Communications. He holds several marketing certificates from the Chartered Institute of Marketing UK.

In his new role, Assem will be responsible for introducing and strengthening the market position of the three hotel brands: St. Regis, W hotels and Westin Hotels and bringing them to life showing each of their own uniqueness. The multi-property complex is home to nearly 1,600 bedrooms, 17 restaurants and lounges, two spas, 34 meeting and banqueting spaces, including three ballrooms. - TradeArabia News Service
