VKL Group opens new hotel in Kochi

MANAMA, November 18, 2018

Bahrain-based VKL Group has opened a new hotel in Kochi, a principal tourist destination of India's Kerala state.
 
The Leisure Inn VKL Kochi was inaugurated by Kerala Tourism Minister Kadakampally Surendran in the presence of VKL Group chairman Varghese Kurian; Prof K V Thomas, MP; Raju Abraham, MLA; Hibi Eden, MLA; Kochi mayor Soumini Jain; Richard Doyle, group general counsel, StayWell Group; and Rohit Vig, regional managing director-India for StayWell Hospitality Group.
 
Kurian, the owner of Leisure Inn VKL, said he will be constructing more hotels in Kerala, including in Alappuzha, Thiruvananthapuram and Kottayam. He had earlier tied up with StayWell Holdings to open Park Regis Lotus hotel in Bahrain. 
 
Kochi offers a good opportunity for promoting international tourism with over 120 flights a week from the Cochin International Airport, said Kurian.
 
Leisure Inn VKL Kochi is located in the heart of the city and offers 54 rooms and suites with plush and spacious interiors. Facilities include conference and banqueting spaces, a spa and a fitness centre.
