Standard International debuts Maldives resort with special offer

DUBAI, November 11, 2019

Standard International, the parent company of The Standard, an American hotel brand, is marking the opening of The Standard, Huruvalhi Maldives with an enticing opening package for first guests.

With 115 stunning private pool villas, The Standard, Huruvalhi Maldives marks the brand’s first property in Asia.  The resort is a short sea plane ride away from Male, nestled between the Raa and Baa Atolls, on a naturally protected island.

While the Maldives has traditionally been a couple’s destination, The Standard has approached the development with a fresh set of eyes, a statement says. The resort offers an unmatched combination of relaxation, dynamic social life and vibrant cultural programming that also welcomes groups of friends or singles looking to meet others or just reset and recharge in Paradise.

The Standard offer opening rates from $395 per night, which includes overnight accommodation in one of the private villas along with buffet breakfast in their all-day dining restaurant.

Each of the 115 villas features its own private lounge deck and plunge pool, and guests can choose from one of six unique culinary offerings. The Standard, Huruvalhi Maldives presents culinary options that are inspired by the bounty and beauty of the Indian Ocean and guided by the brand’s commitment to authenticity. Both local and global cuisines are offered, and special, local ingredients – some grown on its very own island farm – are woven throughout the menu. Discover a new Maldivian favorite flavor, or enjoy a familiar dish from our selection of “Global Standards” – dishes that are familiar and comforting to our diverse, sophisticared and well-traveled clientele.

Whether you’re looking for adventure or to learn something new – at the heart of every Standard are unique cultural programming and curated experiences and, in the Maldives, they are island-inspired. The resort offers guided diving and snorkeling through its naturally protected house reef, sunset boat excursions, trips to uninhabited islands and undiscovered reefs, as well as night fishing and private destination dining. A daily programming schedule – found online and in-room – offers a host of activities like indigenous basket-weaving, deep-sea fishing, natural indigo dye workshops, a floating outdoor cinema under the stars, and many more.

The Standard Spa is a haven for recovery or reboot, offering a communal hammam, aroma cypress steam room, chromotherapy and contrast shower, and ten private treatment rooms. Drop in for daily yoga or personal training, or chill out at the Spa Deck and Tonic Bar plunge pool.

No Standard experience would be complete without nightlife, from tribal beats at a beach bonfire to a glass bottom nightclub, says the resort. – TradeArabia News Service
