Gulf Air gets 4-star airline rating at FTE-APEX Expo

MANAMA, November 13, 2019

Gulf Air, the national carrier of Bahrain, has received a four-star official airline rating at the Future Travel Experience (FTE) – APEX Expo which is being held in Singapore.

The event saw top airlines from around the world gathered for the announcement of one of the industry’s most anticipated official rating honours. The rating programme is based solely on certified passengers’ feedback.

More than one million flights were rated by passengers across nearly 600 airlines from around the world.  Passengers rated their overall flight experience and were given the opportunity to provide anonymous ratings in subcategories such as seat comfort, cabin service, food and beverage and entertainment.

The awards ceremony took place during FTE-APEX Asia Expo 2019, the industry’s largest passenger experience event that is exclusive to experts and decision-makers committed to elevating the level of the worldwide airline passenger experience. The event attracts more than 5,000 industry professionals, including representatives from more than 100 airlines, and showcases most comprehensive display of airline related technologies, products and services.

Gulf Air’s chief executive officer Krešimir Kucko received the award and represented the airline. He said: “We are proud to be rated by many passengers around the globe as a Four Star Major Airline. APEX is a reputable organization with valid and reliable rating system in which Gulf Air was rated as a four-star major airline for a number of factors regarding the travel experience. We are working hard to continuously elevate our products and service levels to be the customer’s choice and best in class.”

The rating comes in an important phase of Gulf Air’s history as the airline continues growing its network and fleet. In 2018 and 2019, Gulf Air received 7 Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners and 4 Airbus A320neo aircraft.

The national carrier’s incoming aircraft orders will ensure it maintains one of the youngest fleets in the region while building upon its award-winning reliability, on time performance, product and service standards.

Recently Gulf Air announced three new destinations for 2020; Milan in Italy, Munich in Germany and Mykonos in Greece as part of its boutique offering for premium leisure and corporate segments. – TradeArabia News Service
