Al Nabooda Automobiles, the authorised dealer for Volkswagen in Dubai and Northern Emirates, has announced the arrival of the stylish Volkswagen Scirocco and Scirocco R model series at its showrooms.
The new Scirocco defined by a series of visual and technical advancements, now boasts sharper design attributes and features that have enhanced the coupé’s sporty appeal, said a statement.

The models’ design features latest styled and sharpened front and rear sections include the dynamically contoured bi-xenon headlights, and LED rear lights round off the exterior and swivelling Volkswagen logo as a handle for opening the boot lid. The series also appears to be more clearly contoured and wider, due to the bumper surfaces painted in body colour as opposed to being kept black.
The sporty appeal is transferred to the Scirocco R with an extensive range of features including matt chrome side sill extensions with “R” styling and brake callipers painted black with “R” logo. The Scirocco R can also be visually distinguished by new details such as the chrome tailpipes and the larger roof edge spoiler, it added.
The interior is equally striking, with new materials, sport seats and steering wheel. The “R” insignia lines the Scirocco R’s interior, with features including the “Race” seat covers with the "R" logo, decorative "Carbon Race" inlays and stainless steel pedals.
The vehicle available in a range of new colours including ‘pure white’, ‘flash red’ and ‘urano grey’ as well as the metallic colours, ‘ultra violet’ and ‘pyramid gold’.
Scirocco R drivers will also have the option of the redesigned “Cadiz” wheel trim in 18 or 19 inch versions, while the 17-inch "Long Beach" alloy wheel rims come as standard on the Scirocco.
Loaded with power, the fuel-efficient Scirocco consumes just 7.7l/100 km and boasts 155kW/210HP, while the series’ top model – the Scirocco R completes the classic sprint in just 5.8 seconds with its four cylinder, 6-speed dual-clutch gearbox (DSG) and 187kW/255HP engine.
The latest Scirocco series is available throughout showrooms in Dubai, Sharjah and Fujairah. Prices start at Dh149,500 ($40,700). – TradeArabia News Service
