Dubai to develop two new eco-friendly projects

Dubai Municipality has approved contracts worth Dh15.6 million ($4.24 million) for the construction of two eco-friendly projects in the emirate, said a report.

The announcement for the new projects, including a municipal services office in Al Awir and a women's fitness club in Al Lusayli area of the emirate, comes following approval from Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai and chairman of Dubai Municipality, reported the state news agency Wam.

These eco-friendly buildings, which are part of a government strategy to improve services, were designed to meet green building standards, it added.
