GFH awards Bahrain Harbour Row contract

GFH Real Estate (GFHRE), the real estate arm of the GFH Financial Group, said it has appointed Almoayyed Contracting as the main contractor of its Harbour Row project in Bahrain Financial Harbour.

As per the deal, all contracting works, including foundations, construction, mechanical, internal and external finishing works of the project, will be implemented by Almoayyed Contracting.

The $150-million development consists of 450 residential units, in addition to retail outlets with a waterfront view as part of the Bahrain Financial Harbour project, which is located at the heart of the capital Manama, said Majed Al Khan, the chief executive  of GFHRE, after signing the deal with Hala Almoayyed, the executive director of Almoayyed Contracting.

The signing ceremony was attended by Laith Al Memar, the chief development officer at GFHRE, and a number of executive management members from Almoayyed Contracting Group.

"We are delighted to be associated with Almoayyed Contracting to execute this prestigious project of Harbour Row. We have envisioned this project to be a standard bearer in terms of quality and value and for that reason we have selected Almoayyed Contracting to lead in the project’s execution and meet our unique and high specification requirement standards," stated Al Khan.

"They have the technical, financial and managerial strengths that give us confidence and that will ensure the Harbour Row project is delivered on schedule and to the highest quality standards," he added.

A specialist real estate developer, GFHRE manages up to $1 billion worth of end project value in GCC region.

Almoayyed expressed delight at having been awarded this milestone contract for execution of GFHRE’s Harbour Row project.

"Located in one of Bahrain’s most notable waterfront locations, this is an iconic project that requires the deep technical planning and execution that Almoayyed brings to each of our projects. We look forward to working closely with GFHRE on this project," she added.-TradeArabia News Service
