Jazeera starts summer flights to Turkish coastal city

Kuwait's leading low-cost airline Jazeera Airways has announced that it has for the first time begun serving the coastal city of Bodrum in Turkey with three weekly flights.
The new Turkish destination is an addition to the three flights a week recently launched to Istanbul’s Sabiha Gokcen International Airport (SAW), and the existing daily flights to the new Istanbul Airport (IST), said the airline in its statement.
The inaugural flight took off from Kuwait International Airport (KWI) on Thursday (May 9) at 11.45am and landed at the Bodrum Airport (BJV) at 3.35pm (local time).
Flights to Bodrum come in response to high demand during the peak travel season to the popular summer destination located on the Aegean Sea.
Jazeera Airways, which operates regionally and internationally, has also enhanced its schedule to Istanbul to offer customers the choice between landing or departing from Sabiha Gokcen International Airport or the Istanbul Airport.
Sabiha Gokcen is located in the Asian side of Istanbul while Istanbul Airport is located on the European side of the city.
Speaking of the launch, CEO, Rohit Ramachandran, said: "We are very excited to be starting flights to Bodrum during the summer season. It has become an extremely popular leisure destination for the Kuwaiti market."
Until October 26, Jazeera will be launching Flight J9-309 on Mondays, Thursdays and Sundaysfrom KWI at 11:45am which will land in Bodrum Airport (BJV) at 3.35pm. On return journey, J9-310 will take off from the Turkish city on Mondays, Thursdays and Sundays at 4:20pm and arrive in KWI at 7:50pm.
