Oman extends Muscat lockdown till May 29

Oman’s Supreme Committee has decided to continue the lockdown of the Governorate of Muscat till 10 pm of May 29 due to the persistent proliferation of Coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic in some areas, a media report said.

The Supreme Committee also decided to end the School Year (2019-2020), so that May 7 will be the last day of the school year, reported Bahrain News Agency (BNA), citing Oman News Agency.

The committee has authorised the Ministry of Education to endorse a suitable alternative to calculate results for promotion classes from class 1 to 12 and their equivalents, the report said.
