Gulf Air evacuates all on board Kuwait flight after 'minor incident'

All 62 passengers and 7 crew members of Gulf Air flight GF215 from Bahrain to Kuwait have been safely evacuated following a minor incident, the airline has said.
"Gulf Air flight GF215 from Bahrain to Kuwait has been involved in a minor incident during landing at Kuwait International Airport," said a Gulf Air statement.
"Gulf Air can confirm that all 62 passengers and 7 crew members have been safely evacuated and escorted into the airport terminal building, the statement added.
In response to this incident, Gulf Air’s Acting CEO Captain Waleed Abdulhameed AlAlawi, said: "Earlier today, our crew safely conducted a full evacuation of our aircraft in Kuwait. Maintaining safe operations is a top priority at Gulf Air and we are working with the relevant authorities and our stakeholders to establish the cause of this incident."
"We apologise for any inconvenience caused to our esteemed passengers and we are making arrangements to ensure that their journey continues with minimum disruption," he added.-TradeArabia News Service
