Etihad Airways honours Ramadan traditions across network

Etihad Airways is marking Ramadan with a series of curated cultural and culinary experiences across its network, celebrating Emirati heritage and inviting guests worldwide to share in the spirit of the holy month.

Turky Alhammadi, Director Product and Hospitality at Etihad Airways, says, "We are delighted to offer our guests a thoughtful experience this Ramadan, sharing beloved traditions and flavours inspired by the Emirati hospitality we champion and bringing a sense of community to our guests across the network. This sacred time is an opportunity to bring our guests together through authentic flavours, meaningful gestures, and a deep respect for the traditions that define this holy month, reflecting Etihad’s commitment to cultural connection and elevated hospitality. This year, we’ve enriched the guest journey with added moments of comfort, community, and reflection, both on the ground and in the skies.”

Throughout Ramadan, the airline is offering a specially designed menu featuring authentic Arabian flavours and traditional favourites made with fresh, regional ingredients.

In Business and First lounges at Zayed International Airport and the Etihad Lounge at London Heathrow Airport, guests can enjoy Ramadan-inspired dishes and iftar platters, including Arabic spiced grilled lobster and desserts such as date kunafa and rose and pomegranate mousse cake.

Premium cabin travellers are served Arabic mixed grills, Ramadan desserts, and optional iftar platters or lighter healthy salads, while Economy passengers receive Emirati classics like braised lamb or chicken with vermicelli rice and traditional sweets.

Take-away bags are provided for guests fasting outside iftar and suhoor times.

Onboard, the E-BOX entertainment system features Ramadan-themed religious and cultural programming.
