A military projectile fell on a residential area in Al-Kharj Governorate, resulting in two fatalities and the injury of 12 residents, said a Saudi Arabia's Defence ministry spokesperson.
The spokesperson also said two drones heading toward the Shaybah field were intercepted and destroyed in the Empty Quarter.
A ballistic missile launched toward Prince Sultan Air Base was also intercepted and destroyed.
