The Government of Dubai Media Office (GDMO) called a Reuters report regarding explosions in Downtown Dubai as "false".
GDMO urged the public and media to rely only on official sources for accurate information and to avoid spreading rumours or unverified information, said a WAM news agency report.
In another statement, GDMO said necessary measures will be taken against media institutions that publish incorrect news or information related to the Emirate of Dubai, in accordance with the laws and regulatory frameworks in force in the Emirate and the United Arab Emirates.
