Wood has secured a three-year contract from Equinor to provide lifecycle information (LCI) services across nearly 100 assets in Norway, including offshore installations, subsea sites and onshore plants.

Under the agreement, Wood will manage technical information updates, maintain LCI records and oversee data within Equinor’s System for Technical Information and Documentation (STID) platform, supporting improved data quality, operational efficiency and decision-making.

Wood will also deploy a newly developed work management system to streamline technical information management and engineering workflows.

The digital solution is designed to improve transparency and traceability, reduce manual processes and shorten lead times for change requests, while supporting future AI-enabled capabilities.

The work will be delivered by around 35 Wood employees in Norway, supported by the company’s global engineering network.

The contract builds on Wood’s long-standing relationship with Equinor, including recent five-year framework agreements covering maintenance, modifications and larger modification projects across the Norwegian Continental Shelf and associated onshore facilities.

In 2025, Wood also secured a $27 million EPCI contract for infrastructure upgrades at the Snorre field. -OGN/TradeArabia News Service
