Kuwait Airways has announced the launch of direct flights to Phuket, Thailand, starting 27 October 2026.
The company will operate two flights a week, on Saturdays
and Tuesdays, with ticket bookings commenced from August 25, 2026.
Abdulwahab Al-Shatti, Kuwait Airways Acting Chief Executive
Officer, stated that the launch of direct flights to Phuket is part of Kuwait
Airways’ strategy to continue expanding its destination network and provide
customers with a wider range of direct travel options that meet their needs,
particularly to destinations experiencing growing demand among travellers.
Al-Shatti added that Phuket is one of Southeast Asia’s
leading tourist destinations, known for its exceptional natural beauty and
diverse attractions.
He noted that the launch of direct flights is expected to
strengthen travel and tourism ties between Kuwait and Thailand, while providing
passengers a more convenient and comfortable travel experience.
He emphasised that Kuwait Airways continues to develop its
services and strengthen its presence on the regional and international aviation
map by adding new destinations and expanding its flight network. This reflects
the company’s ongoing commitment to providing travel options that meet the
expectations of its customers and further strengthening its position as
Kuwait’s national carrier.
Al-Shatti concluded by noting that the addition of Phuket to
Kuwait Airways’ destination network is part of the company’s ongoing efforts to
expand its flight network and introduce a diverse range of destinations in
