Nord Gas Solutions has secured a contract to supply the regasification system module for Excelerate Energy’s first floating storage and regasification unit (FSRU) conversion project.

The module will be installed aboard the Methane Patricia Camila, a 170,000-cubic-metre LNG carrier being converted into an FSRU.

The contract was awarded in July 2026, with delivery of the regasification module scheduled for the first half of 2028.

Combined with our longstanding relationship, their technical expertise made them a natural partner for Excelerate Energy's first FSRU conversion project," said David Liner, Chief Operating Officer of Excelerate Energy.

Once deployed, the converted FSRU is expected to support greater access to natural gas in the markets it serves.
