SEVEN ABHA opens Formula E Karting experience

Saudi Entertainment Ventures (SEVEN), a wholly owned subsidiary of Qiddiya Investment Company (QIC), has opened Formula E Karting at SEVEN ABHA in partnership with ABB Formula E.

The indoor attraction features a 428-metre track and electric karts for adult and junior drivers, along with dual-seater karts.

It combines technology inspired by Formula E cars with competitive racing and interactive entertainment, targeting families and motorsport enthusiasts.

The experience also includes interactive spaces, exhibits and displays covering Formula E’s history and the technologies supporting electric racing.

Sustainability is a key element, with visitors introduced to solutions and innovations linked to electric mobility and racing technology.

SEVEN said the attraction has been developed with advanced technology and safety standards, offering experiences for guests across different ages and skill levels.

SEVEN ABHA is the first of four SEVEN destinations in Saudi Arabia planned to feature Formula E Karting.

Additional locations are planned at SEVEN Al HAMRA in Riyadh, Dammam and Al Kharj under the partnership with Formula E.

The attraction forms part of SEVEN’s programme to develop entertainment destinations combining locally developed concepts with international experiences.

The company said the initiative supports the development of Saudi Arabia’s entertainment sector and contributes to quality-of-life objectives under Saudi Vision 2030.

Essam Aljubair, COO of SEVEN, said: “Opening the world’s first Formula E Karting experience at SEVEN ABHA marks an important milestone in our commitment to bringing distinctive, accessible entertainment experiences to communities across Saudi Arabia. Through this partnership, families and motorsport enthusiasts can enjoy an interactive experience that combines excitement and technology while expanding entertainment choices and supporting quality of life in the Aseer Region, We also hope these tracks can help discover and develop Saudi talent, and that one day we will see a Saudi driver competing in Formula E.”

Jeff Dodds, CEO, Formula E said: "We  are  pleased  to  partner  with  SEVEN  to  create  Formula  E’s  first-ever  karting  experience.  As  a unique  touchpoint  for  our  sport,  we  hope  the  immersive  nature  of  the  attraction  can  serve  as  an  opportunity  to  introduce  and  educate  new  audiences  about  Formula  E,  helping  support  the  strong  growth in fandom we have witnessed in the region in recent years.

The Formula E Karting concept is designed to provide visitors with an introduction to electric racing through a combination of karting, technology and educational displays, extending the Formula E experience beyond the championship’s race events. -TradeArabia News Service
