The Saudi Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources, in collaboration with Imam Mohammad Ibn Saud Islamic University, has launched the Industrial Ideas Development Programme.
The programme aims to develop entrepreneurial ideas and transform them into value-added industrial projects in priority sectors. It also seeks to contribute to the growth and sustainability of Saudi Arabia's industrial sector and enhance its competitiveness, a Saudi Press Agency (SPA) report said.
The two-week programme, hosted by the university, focuses on supporting entrepreneurs and gradually turning their ideas into viable opportunities and projects.
Product concepts
Participants begin by identifying an industrial problem or opportunity, analysing the market, and identifying target customers. They then assess the initial feasibility of their ideas and develop product concepts.
Launched on October 19, the programme includes field visits to several industrial facilities. The Saudi Industrial Development Fund Academy (SIDF Academy) also contributes to developing the participating ideas and projects through its specialised experts.—TradeArabia News Service
