The American Concrete Institute (ACI) has announced the launch of the ACI Global Concrete Congress, a new recurring international event designed to bring together concrete professionals, educators, students, industry leaders, and ACI members from around the world.
The inaugural Global Concrete Congress will be held from May 4 to 6, 2027, at the Sheraton Puerto Rico Resort & Casino in San Juan, Puerto Rico. The event will combine technical education, collaboration, networking and international engagement while bringing several existing ACI international activities together within one global event.
The Global Concrete Congress supports ACI’s strategic goal to Engage Globally by creating a dedicated international forum to share concrete knowledge, strengthen relationships, and expand participation in ACI programs and activities. Future editions of the Congress are planned to engage different global regions as the event continues annually.
Announcing this, Fred Grubbe, MBA, CAE, Executive Vice President of the American Concrete Institute, said: “The ACI Global Concrete Congress demonstrates the Institute's continued commitment to advancing knowledge, strengthening industry relationships, and fostering collaboration across the global concrete community.”
“Through this recurring event and the collective engagement of its participants, ACI expands its global reach and advances knowledge that supports the concrete industry worldwide,” he stated.
Programming for the 2027 Congress will include the Chapter Roundtable, International Concrete Organizations Forum, Certification Summit, Code Summit, Innovation Forum, Professors’ Workshop, Student Chapter Forum, Student and Young Professional Poster Session, Concrete Solutions Competition, ISO TC 71 activities, ACI CODE 318 Spanish Seminar, technical presentations, panel discussions, and additional opportunities to connect with concrete professionals from around the world, said the ACI in its statement.
Additional program, speaker, travel, and registration information will be announced in the coming months. Registration is set to open in early 2027, it added.
