Takaud appoints key general counsel

Manama, August 27, 2014

Takaud, a Bahrain-based regional savings and pensions provider, has appointed Hadi Daou as general counsel.

Daou is a qualified lawyer and legal professional with more than 15 years of senior experience in leading corporate strategic and tactical legal initiatives, with specific focus on banking and financial services in the GCC and the Middle East and North Africa region, said a report in the Gulf Daily News (GDN), our sister publication.

He started his career in private practice, before moving in 2004 to in-house roles in financial services and Islamic banks in the kingdom.

A Lebanese national, Daou holds a BA degree in Law from the Lebanese University in Beirut.

“This announcement strengthens our growing management team which is focused on the roll-out of innovative private savings and pensions plans across regional markets,” Takaud acting chief executive Eric Van Biesen said.

He added that Daou's experience in the region's financial market would add a valuable skill-set and provide the company with added expertise as it continues expanding. - TradeArabia News Service
