Iran's non-oil trade turnover exceeded $41.62 billion during the five-month period from March 21, up 32 per cent as compared to the country’s foreign trade during the same period.

The non-oil exports were $19.63 billion during the period, an increase of 20.83 per cent compared to the same period last year, said the Trend News Agency.

It imported $21.981 billion worth of goods during the period, up 33.58 per cent in value year-on-year, it said.

The exported items included liquefied propane, methanol, and liquefied butane.

The top importers of Iranian goods were China, Iraq, UAE, Afghanistan and India, while the leading exporters of goods to Iran were UAE, China, India, South Korea and Turkey.


Meanwhile, wheat topped in total imported goods, followed by motor vehicles with internal combustion engine, rice, corn fodder and soybean meal.
