Dubai Country Club to reopen in Dubailand

Dubai, July 6, 2010

Dubai Country Club is set to reopen its doors at Dubailand, the region’s premier tourism, leisure and entertainment destination.

Located directly behind the Arabian Ranches, the resort-style club features a 1700 sq m pool with real sand beach surrounds leading into lush green parkland.

In addition, the club has a state-of-the-art Health and Fitness facility, 12 tennis courts, 3 squash courts, football field, an indoor sports hall and modern skate park.

“Dubai Country Club has always been known for its value for money ethos and its membership offers access to all facilities for the whole family,” said Dubai Country Club chairman, Andy Staines.

The club will feature an adult-only sanctuary with a 20m private pool with swim up bar, an 18 suite boutique hotel and a day spa for total pampering.

A dedicated children’s centre with a fully supervised crèche and kids’ club, means members will be able to enjoy health & fitness pursuits and sporting activities knowing that their young ones are happily occupied and safe. Teenagers can also enjoy their own chill-out space, which will include their own café and activity zone, with all the latest games and a variety of attractions.

Staines said: "The Dubai Country Club has certainly come a very long way since its inception some 40 years ago, and our vision is to carry on providing the residents of Dubai with the best value, contemporary sporting, recreation and family-focused all-in-one leisure destination you can find."

"Hence our strategic decision to build our new facility in Dubailand, with its operational attractions, exclusive residential developments and upcoming leisure & entertainment projects," he added.

Khalid Al Malik, Group CEO, Dubai Properties Group, said: “We are thrilled to welcome the Dubai Country Club to Dubailand, the region’s premier tourism, leisure and entertainment destination."

"This extraordinary new facility is the ideal complement to Dubailand's attractions, and will be an exciting addition to the destination’s diverse entertainment options," he added.
