His Majesty King Hamad's first official visit to Japan next month will include the development of bilateral relations and promote business between the two countries.

The three-day visit, which is scheduled from April 11 to 13, comes as part of the 40th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Japan and Bahrain.

King Hamad will meet Japanese Prime Minister Yoshihiko Noda, where they will discuss security contributions made by Japan to the stability of the Middle East.

Details of the visit were announced during a Press conference held yesterday by Japanese Ambassador Shiguki Sumi at the embassy in Adliya, Bahrain.
