Epson unveils cost effective projectors in ME

Dubai, February 14, 2011

Epson, a worldwide leader in the projector market, has launched its EB-S9, EB-X9 and EB-W9, a range of affordable projectors for the education sector in the Middle East.

Designed to enhance education, all three projectors deliver an outstanding picture due to Epson’s 3LCD technology. A range of smart features make them easy for teachers to set up and use.

Offering schools a choice of resolution, the EB-S9 and EB-X9 are SVGA (Super Video Graphic Array) and XGA (Extended Graphics Array) respectively. The WXGA EB-W9 displays everything that is on a widescreen PC without needing any adjustments.

The projectors boast a Colour Light Output (CLO) that is equally as high as the white light output, which means lesson presentations are brought to life with vivid yet natural colours. The high brightness of 2,500 lumens enables teachers to leave the lights on so students can take notes.

The projectors do not require any warm-up time, allowing teachers to spend more time teaching. For a perfect picture, any distortion is easily fixed with manual vertical keystone correction, and a large image can be projected from a short distance. This flexibility enables adjustment to suit most classroom sizes, including the smallest.

A single USB cable combines both display and mouse control for PC and Mac, while sound is taken care of with the built-in 1W speaker. The monitor-out provides both projector and PC screen visuals so teachers do not have to turn around to see the screen when presenting.

To protect schools’ investment, the projectors have a number of security features to deter theft, including a padlock and security cable hole, Kensington lock and password protection.

“With governments across the region increasing their focus on the education sector, academic institutions are making significant investments in technology to enhance the teaching and learning experience. This series of projectors are designed specifically to address the requirements of the education sector with its high quality image and an array of smart features for teachers,” said Khalil El-Dalu, general manager, Epson Middle East.-TradeArabia News Service
