InJaz Bahrain to hold entrepreneurs workshop

Manama, July 7, 2011

InJaz Bahrain, a leading non-profit organisation targeting Bahraini youth, will hold a major workshop on entrepreneurship on July 9 as part of its participation in 2030 Youth City.

The workshop, led by Bahraini entrepreneur and chairwoman of MedPoint Design Shaikha Noora bint Khalifa Al Khalifa targets 100 students ranging between 12 to 18 years old.

The workshop will consist of a competition at which student teams compete to come up with the best idea for a fictional business.

The participants on each team must collaborate by taking on the company’s various functions and roles such as finance, branding, marketing and advertising, production, and so on.

In the end, each team will present its idea to a judging committee who will assess each idea based on such factors as creativity and viability, and award a prize to the winning team.

By encouraging participants to role-play and collaborate on a business idea, InJaz Bahrain hopes to instill within them the spirit of entrepreneurship, as well as important life skills such as teamwork, negotiation, problem-solving, resourcefulness, and public speaking, a statement said. – TradeArabia News Service
