Human resources to be probed at key summit

Manama, July 2, 2013

Human resources thought leaders from around the world will converge in Bahrain for the Fifth Annual Human Resources Management (HRM) Summit 2013 to be held from October 21 to 23.

Held under the patronage of Minister of State for Electricity and Water Affairs Dr Abdulhussain Mirza, the event is dedicated to specialised human capital management, performance, retention and training needs of a fast-developing marketplace, reported the Gulf Daily News, our sister publication.

Event organiser Roshcomm said HRM 2013 is the only integrated networking event focused on providing deep insights into human resources development and management life cycles, with particular emphasis on the application of international best practices tailored to the Middle East market.

"We are extremely pleased to bring the event under the dynamic leadership of Dr Mirza," Roshcomm chief executive MA Sridhar said.

"In recognition of the significant and ongoing contributions made by him to the overall development of the economy and the community in the kingdom, we are proud and honoured to have the event held under his leadership," he noted.

"Along with the support of our various partners, we are confident that the HRM Summit 2013 and related networking events will become the pre-eminent event geared to deliver maximum return on enhancing human capital in the region," stated Sridhar.

"As witnessed in our previous events, we expect a high-level participation in the conference from many global organisations," he said.

"We already have nominations from Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development, Society for Human Resource Management and Affiliate of Society for Human Resource Management as keynote speakers. In addition, representatives from regional countries will also highlight the strengths, risks and opportunities offered by the changes affecting our region," he added.-TradeArabia News Service
