Kipco picks 25 for leadership programme

Kipco, the Kuwait projects company, has selected 25 youngsters between 16 and 24 to participate in a mentorship programme that provides young people with opportunities acquire life and leadership skills.

The fourth generation of The Protégés program will start on the first week of August, and will continue for six-weeks.

Hundreds young people applied for the program and our 25 were selected through an exhaustive process. The participants were chosen based on rigorous selection that included a personality test and two rounds of interviews with a panel of mentors.

Program manager Shamlan Al-Bahar said: “The selection process was a very long one this year. We received hundreds of outstanding applications and met each and every candidate, which made it one of the hardest decisions to make”. He added “We are very pleased with the outcome, we look forward to get to know our 25 protégés and are very excited to start the summer of the fourth generation of our program.”

Abeer Al-Omar, manager, Corporate Social Responsibility at Kipco, said: “We have been very impressed by the Protégés interview process and the methods used to select the 25 finalists candidate from hundreds of who applied this year.
