DHCC backs world health meet

Dubai, November 28, 2010

Dubai Healthcare City (DHCC), a member of Tecom Investments, will support the upcoming World Healthcare Congress in Abu Dhabi.

Running from December 5 to 8, the congress brings together more than 500 professionals including from all sectors of healthcare to share global best practices.

“When it comes to healthcare, there are many challenges and opportunities that we share with our international counterparts, such as creating sustainable health systems with increasing cost pressures and demographic changes, universal access to healthcare, fulfilling patient expectations, improving healthcare quality, health prevention and health innovation,” said Dr Ayesha Abdullah, managing director of Tecom Investments’ sciences cluster and executive director of Dubai Healthcare City.

“In bringing together international experts from a broad range of relevant disciplines, the World Healthcare Congress provides an opportunity to share best practice and explore healthcare policy, reform and delivery in the face of the changing social, economic and technological environment for the benefit of patients now and for the future,” she added.
