Riyadh, March 26, 2012
International pharmaceutical companies and leading drug distributors in Saudi Arabia will discuss the most pressing issues facing temperature control logistics at an upcoming cold chain summit in Riyadh.
Organised by IQPC, Cold Chain Saudi Summit will be held in Riyadh from May 13 to 16, and will host more than 20 expert speakers from the most important pharmaceutical companies, drug distributors and hospitals across the kingdom and the world.
"In recent years, Saudi FDA has enforced strict regulations for importing and distributing pharmaceuticals in Saudi Arabia to ensure product integrity and protect patients' health,” explained Doaa Said, divisional director of pharma events at IQPC.
“Saudi Arabia is a very important and unique market that faces unique challenges due to the high temperature, humidity and there is a great need for temperature sensitive products like vaccines, insulin and hormones, these products has to be shipped and stored in cold conditions, otherwise it is not safe nor effective for use.”
"Therefore, it is important to gather all the stakeholders in this business in a global summit to enhance cold chain management in the Kingdom and learn from the international experts in this area," added Said. – TradeArabia News Service
