Grohe sales hit $493m in Q1

Grohe Group, a leading provider of sanitary fittings, has reported a three per cent rise in consolidated sales to reach 364 million euros ($493.5 million) in the first quarter of the year, compared to the same period last year.
 
The group’s earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) grew by five percent to 69 million euros, said a statement.
 
On March 31, the group’s cash and cash equivalents amounted to 317 million euros, compared to 252 million euros on the same date last year, it said.
 
The group has achieved clear growth across nearly all markets worldwide, with Germany remaining its singe most important market with total sales of 17 per cent and growing by five percent, said the statement.
 
The sales in the Americas rose by four per cent, while Asia and Europe showed a sales growth of three per cent each, it said.
 
Joyou, a member of the Grohe Group, which was floated on the Frankfurt stock exchange in 2010, reported stable growth during the first three months of the year, boosting its sales by six per cent, it added. - TradeArabia News Service
