WRDC to enhance customer service

Abu Dhabi, November 26, 2007

The Western Region Development Council (WRDC) in partnership with Meirc training and Progress Management Consultants in Abu Dhabi have completed the first joint training session to enhance the standards of customer service delivery throughout the region.

The customer service course has been introduced to train employees, who provide front-end assistance to customers, to improve the standards of service delivery in the region, said an official spokesman.

Delegates of the course studied modules such as effective customer communication, how to deal with complaints and conflicts and most importantly, how to increase customer satisfaction.

Both government and private sector employees were provided with the opportunity to participate in the customer service courses with the first recently completed in Madinat Zayed, which trained a total of 18 delegates.

'For us to be successful in the development of the Western Region, it is vital that the highest level of service delivery is visible from the moment one enters the region to the minute they leave, and even maintained in our most remote areas. We want to ensure that people living, working and visiting the Western Region are provided with the same, if not, higher levels of service found anywhere else in the Emirate,” said director general, WRDC, Mohamed Hamed Al Mazrouei.

The second training course, in partnership with Progress Management Consultants, started yesterday (November 25) in Ruwais with 20 attendees and will conclude on November 27.

After just one year in operation, WRDC is already making a significant difference to the region by implementing such initiatives that are constantly ongoing - making a difference to the lives of those living and working within the region, delivering right on their promise. – TradeArabia News Service
