Dubai firm inks Fox channels deal

Dubai, February 24, 2014

Dubai-based ICFLIX, a leading streaming platform for Jazwood (Arabic content), Bollywood and Hollywood genres, has inked a deal with Fox International Channels to further expand its library for subscribers in the Mena region.

The region’s first subscription-based online streaming service, ICFLIX (i-see-flix) is available to users within Mena for $7.99 per month, which gives them a huge variety of content from Hollywood, Bollywood and Jazwood (Arabic language content), said a company statement.

The service is also accessible worldwide for only Bollywood and Jazwood content, it added.

Under the new deal, National Geographic Channel programs will be available to those accessing the service from their Internet enabled devices in the region, in English and Arabic, and will be updated monthly, as will National Geographic Farsi, to bring hit documentary programing to users on demand.

Popular TV series “The Walking Dead” and “The Listener” will also be added in full for TV fans who want to catch up on the shows before their next seasons both air towards the end of this year, said the company statement.

The Golden Globe nominated “The Walking Dead” captivates its audiences by telling the horror story of a post-apocalyptic world where man-eating zombies thrive. So many were captivated by its season four premiere that it became the most-watched drama series telecast in basic cable history.

“The Listener” is the science fiction drama about Toby Logan, a mind reading paramedic who teams up with law enforcement to make a change in the world, it stated.

ICFLIX will also be adding Fox’s Baby TV in English and Arabic to their kid’s content, in order to ensure entertainment for the entire family, it added.-TradeArabia News Service
