Bain opens office in Dubai

Dubai, April 8, 2008

Bain & Company, the global business consulting firm, is opening its 38th worldwide office in Dubai.

The Dubai office will be the operating nexus for Bain’s operations in the Middle East.  The opening of the Dubai office is in response to the firm’s growing roster of clients in the Middle East market, including local companies, multinational corporations, family-owned conglomerates and private equity funds, said an official spokesman.

“Opening an office in the Middle East is a natural step in our continuing expansion in the GCC and Egypt,” said Bain & Company worldwide managing director Steve Ellis.

“We have been working with companies in the region since the mid-90s and have a strong client base and local knowledge. Opening our office in Dubai is an important milestone in our commitment to the region.”

Bain & Company Middle East will be under the leadership of Jean-Marie Péan, who after several years of working closely with clients in the region becomes managing director for Bain in the Middle East.

A veteran Bain & Company partner and leader in the firm’s Global Organisation Practice, Péan brings both an established track record of leading successful Bain teams and of successfully launching new offices for the firm, having opened the Bain Brussels office in 1990 and leading the Paris Office until 2001.

The Bain office is located at Dubai World Trade Centre, Level 16, Shaikh Zayed Road. – TradeArabia News Service
