Kosan Crisplant expands ME operations

Major supplier to the liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) industry Kosan Crisplant (KC) has opened KC Arabia, a new local sales and services office in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia in a bid to expand its Middle East operations.

KC Arabia is KC’s second office to be opened in the region and its 17th worldwide. KC is owned by Bahrain-based Seera Investment Bank (SIB) BSC.

“The Middle East has been our largest and strategically most important market over the last 30 years,” said. Anders Anderson, KC managing director. “This market continues to demonstrate strong demand for high capacity LPG filling plants, and given our leadership position in terms of market share, technological innovation and quality, we have an ambitious development plan to meet this need.  The establishment of KC Arabia is further evidence of our commitment to actively develop and strengthen our presence in the Middle East, enabling our customers in the region to enjoy the full benefits of our comprehensive state-of-the-art filling and reconditioning systems, equipment, and on-site services programmes.”

Abdulla Janahi, chief executive officer of SIB said: “One of our primary objectives since taking ownership of Kosan Crisplant in January 2008, has been to proactively assist the company’s continued regional and global growth initiatives. We are pleased at this recent development, which further underscores the excellent future prospects of the company.”

KC recently launched its LPG filling system Flexispeed, which outperforms previous industry standard filling speeds by 300 per cent.

Kosan Crisplant's customers in the region include corporations such as Gasco in Saudi Arabia, Adnoc in Abu Dhabi, Kotc in Kuwait, Emirates Gas in Dubai, NGC and Muscat Manufacturers in Oman, YNOC in Yemen, SCDG in Syria, Jopetrol in Jordan and Ministry Of Oil in Iraq. – TradeArabia News Service
