Bapco's operational performance reviewed

Bahrain Petroleum Company (Bapco) board of directors reviewed key issues of operational performance as well as discussed the company's audit committee report and 2012 budget at a crucial meeting on Tuesday.

Energy Minister Dr Abdulhussain Mirza, who presided over the meeting, pledged to make efforts to further improve Bapco's operations and enhance its contribution to the national economy.

The meeting also reviewed key human resources and organisational issues and discussed a productivity improvement plan and current projects, including preparations for the lube base project inauguration on November 29.

Future projects, including the refinery master plan to increase the capacity and upgrade the projects, were also discussed. Measures to implement National Dialogue recommendations were also reviewed.

Dr Mirza lauded Bapco's financial and operational performance.

He also praised its ability to continue to grow and issued directives to continue efforts to face industry challenges and enhance Bapco's status.-TradeArabia News Service
