Bahrain energy minister among top oil leaders

Bahrain's Energy Minister Dr Abdulhussain Mirza and former Bapco chief executive Faisal Al Mahroos were selected among the top 50 personalities who have influenced oil and gas industry in the Middle East.

According to a survey conducted by the Oil and Gas Middle East magazine, a leading global publication in oil and gas industry, Dr Mirza, who is also the chairman of National Oil and Gas Authority and Al Mahroos made it to the elite list.

In addition to these two prominent figures from Bahrain, other personalities selected by the magazine included Saudi Petroleum Minister, Ali Al Noaimi, Iraqi Minister Hussain Al Shahrestani, Aramco chief executive Khalid Al Faleh, BP British Company chief executive Tony Hayward, Qatari Minister Mohammed Al Sadah, Kuwait Petroleum Company chief executive Farouq Al Zenki and ADMA general manager UAE Ali Al Jarwan.

The selection of Dr Mirza and Al Mahroos is a culmination of the dedicated efforts exerted by them in promoting Bahrain's status in oil industry and upgrading this vital sector to enhance the kingdom's leading position amongst advanced countries in oil industry all over the world.-TradeArabia News Service
