Wataniya service wins Skytrax recognition

Kuwait, May 26, 2010

Wataniya Airways, Kuwait’s premium service airline, has won recognition for its staff service from Skytrax, the internationally reputed airline research consultancy.

Wataniya Airways’ was placed second in the annual staff service excellence survey ahead of many world-renowned airlines operating in the region and delivering premium services.

The survey reviewed 200 airline companies around the world over a period of ten months between July 2009 and April 2010.

“Since Wataniya Airways launched in January 2009, our staff have always strived to provide our guests with the highest possible quality of service,” said Abdulsalam Al Bahar, chairman and managing director of Wataniya Airways.

“To achieve this level of excellence in our first year of operation is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our team.”

“This recognition is particularly special for us as a Kuwaiti airline working to reflect the traditions of Kuwaiti hospitality, which is known for its warmth and excellence, and which we try to reproduce both in the ground and onboard,” he added.

“Since the beginning, we promised our guests that we’ll bring back the golden age of aviation to Kuwait, and this achievement is a measurement of the progress we have made in creating a unique flying experience,” he continued.

“I personally would like to thank Skytrax for this recognition and our professional team for their dedication and commitment which has produced such an impressive result after only one year of operations,” Al Bahar said.

“Indeed, I think that we may be the youngest airline ever to achieve this level of excellence. It sets a high benchmark which I hope we can exceed in the future,” he concluded. – TradeArabia News Service
