Gulf Air changes dates for Iran flights

Manama, September 20, 2012

Gulf Air, the national carrier of the Kingdom of Bahrain, has announced that the proposed dates of resuming its services to Iran have been deferred while waiting to receive approval from the Iranian Civil Aviation Authority.

The airline has to wait for the Authority’s consent to operate flights as permitted under the terms of the bilateral agreement, a statement from an official said.

Gulf Air will commence flights on October 1 subject to approval. “The national carrier apologises to those passengers whose flights have to be deferred and reassure them that it is working hard with the relevant authorities to re-launch services as soon as possible,” the statement said

“A dedicated customer services team has been set up and is contacting passengers affected to offer alternate options. Passengers can also contact the Gulf Air World Wide Contact Centre for any assistance.” – TradeArabia News Service
