Qatar Airways increases flights to 3 cities

Doha, August 13, 2014

Qatar Airways has announced increased frequencies to three destinations - Tehran, Islamabad and Muscat.

The additional flights, which include four for Tehran, two for Islamabad and four for Muscat per week, will commence on September 1, 3 and 16, respectively.

The additional flights are part of a surge in increased frequencies to a number of destinations across Qatar Airways’ network in response to a steady increase in passenger demand, the airline said.

Tehran, which is currently served with 14 flights a week, will see an increase to 18 flights weekly when it adds four more flights commencing September 1. The capital city of Iran has become increasingly popular with tourists looking to discover the beautiful and rich history of one of the world’s most ancient civilizations.

Additionally, the airline which now flies to Islamabad once-a-day will see two more flights added to the schedule bringing the number of weekly flights up from seven to nine frequencies.

The additional flights will help meet the needs of those travelling to and from the Americas, which is a popular destination for many passengers from Pakistan.

With 31 weekly flights already servicing the Doha-Muscat route, the increase in passenger demand has led the airline to add an additional four flights, bringing the total number of flights up to 35 per week, the airline said.

With five flights daily to Muscat, Qatar Airways is able to cater to the many local residents who choose to visit the desert oasis for a short break, it said. - TradeArabia News Service
