Oman-based Suhail Bahwan Group and Economic Security Consultants from the United Kingdom have joined hands to set up a new firm ESC Gulf which aims to bring unique portfolio of services to the region.

The formation of ESC Gulf is the culmination of two years of local integration in Oman; learning, understanding and respecting those organisations and individuals who are stakeholders in the critical national infrastructure, the companies said.

ESC Gulf was officially launched at a private event in Muscat attended by Sheikh Ahmed Suhail Bahwan and Stephen Gregory, MD of ESC.

These two leading organisations have formed a partnership that brings a unique portfolio of services to Oman and the wider Middle East.

The services offered by ESC Gulf will provide assistance to anyone with responsibility for the management and control of risk, be it through the provision of security services, crisis management skills, emergency response activities or business continuity expertise.

ESC Gulf has been incorporated into Oman with Sheikh Ahmed Suhail Bahwan as the company chairman.

Two board members - Stephen Gregory and Roy Crowther - have been nominated by ESC and two directors from the Suhail Bahwan Group - Divyendu Kumar and Alex Borges - will join the new company.

At the launch, Gregory said, "The strong relationship between the UK and the Sultanate of Oman underpins the ethos ESC Gulf brings in its desire to ensure skills and information sharing are brought to Oman by an Omani company."

"This is supported by ESC’s unrivalled experience in global infrastructure projects," he added.

In his opening speech, Borges, said “ESC Gulf are looking to share their expertise in Oman and the Gulf region, ensuring that there is a transfer of knowledge and a wider industry dialogue to maintain the integrity and safety of this beautiful country”.-TradeArabia News Service
