Abu Dhabi, July 13, 2010

Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank (Adib) announced that its summer internships program have kicked off with 100 UAE nationals.

The students will be interns at Adib for July and August and have been assigned their roles at Adib offices across the UAE. They have also been introduced to Adib and its products and services suite.

50 UAE national students from the Northern Emirates and 50 from the Abu Dhabi and Al Ain region were chosen from applicants for hands-on exposure to work life while still at school.

Adib’s summer internship program was open to UAE nationals between 16 and 21 years of age who are studying in high school or are under-graduate students.

“We aim to generate positive awareness and real experience of jobs that UAE national students can aspire for when they qualify with their degrees. They are expected to contribute their ideas and innovations for the further improvement of our products and services during their tenure. Adib may also consider hiring them full-time once they complete their education,” said Waheeb Khazraji, Adib's head of HR.-TradeArabia News Service
